考点一:形容词和副词的基本功能。
点拨:1、形容词可作定语修饰名词或代词,可与系动词be连用作表语,也可作宾语补足语等。副词通常作状语修饰形容词、副词或动词。
2、大部分形容词加-ly后变为其对应的副词形式,但也有一些形容词是以-ly结尾的,如 friendly, lovely, lonely, lively等。
3、常见的既可作形容词又可作副词的词有fast,early, late, hard, free,,deep等。

考点二、形容词和副词的位置。
点拨:1、形容词作定语,通常位于所修饰的词的前面(即形容词 名词/代词)当形容词修饰不定代词时,则后置(即不定代词 形容词),如: something interesting。形容词作表语时,位于系动词之后(即be 形容词)。
2、副词在句中的位置相对比较灵活,表示时间、地点的副词位于句末;频度副词位于实义动词之前,助动词、情态动词或系动词be之后;程度副词位于所修饰的形容词或副词之前,方式副词位于其修饰的动词之后。3、 enough修饰名词,置于名词之前(即 enough 名词),而修饰形容词或副词时置于形容词或副词之后(即:形容词/副词 enough,如: old enough. brave enoug fast enough)。
考点三:形容词和副词的比较等级。
点拨:1、形容词和副词的比较等级的变化规则：
（1）、单音节和部分双音节的形容词和副词在词尾加-er/-est构成比较级和最高级;
（2）、以不发音的字母e结尾的形容词和副词在词尾直接加-r/-st成比较级和最高级;
（3）、重读闭音节词,且末尾只有一个辅音字母的形容词和副词,先双写这个辅音字母,再加-er/-est构成比较级和最高级;
（4）、以辅音字母加y结尾的形容词和副词,把y改为i再加-er/-est成比较级和最高级。
（5）、大部分加了后缀-ful/,-ly的双音节和多音节形容词和副词在其前面加more/most构成比较级和最高级。

2、much,even, still. a little可用来修饰形容词和副词的比较级;而very, quite,too等用来修饰形容词和副词的原级。
