I feel like they have to do something. Unless you have a 7 ft wingspan, it's hard to play D in the NBA right now. Players are having a hard to stopping perimeter penetration without fouling in today's NBA, so almost all defenses are "funnel the perimeter player to the big man and hope he protects the rim" because only maybe 10 guys in the NBA are actually capable of stopping an offensive player from penetrating in the first place.

The Spurs actually ended the season with the best d-rating in modern NBA history (since the Russell Celtics) in 2004.
The Pistons would've ended up better overall due to playing in the East, but also by having a full season of Sheed.
Pistons had an 8 game stretch after acquiring Sheed where they held opponents to 69.2ppg... They held the Pacers in the ECF to 72.7 and only scored 75.2 ppg themselves. It was a completely different time and it's only been 15 years.

Weber does this all the time, always gets calls wrong and then get super animated despite being wrong and it just biases everyone watching, he’s an enthusiastic commentator but not a very knowledgeable one

Sometimes he straight makes shit up too. Like earlier this year during a Blazers game, he said something about Lilliard like, "I know this kid. He wears #0 because nobody believed in him coming up!" -- which is completely false, and every Blazers fan knows the story of Dame's jersey #. It was one of the most cringeworthy things I've ever heard from an announcer not named Bill.

I think JVG's alright. Mark Jackson is ridiculously bad though. His only analysis is "this player needs to be more aggressive" and "this players is playing aggressive tonight."

I think the argument isn’t that they aren’t fouls, if those same contacts happen for spencer dinwiddie those calls don’t occur. That’s just kind of fact.
It’s the dedication they have to making sure he gets those calls that doesn’t really appear to exists for any other player that people get made at.
Oh, and also no one wants to see the game called like that

The main complaint Webber had was with the techs. And he's right about it. The refs have a power trip and send out techs because they can't take any criticism. They're proving his point by tweeting at him and demonstrating their pettiness firsthand

I agree with Webber bout the tech. Too many players getting techs for reactions to a call. Let them vent, stop affecting the game bc u want a power Trip.
Some techs are justified, some like kuz reaction isn't imo
