“如果恐龙回来了”

似乎很多孩子都很喜欢恐龙,他们会觉得恐龙很可爱。很可惜恐龙在很久很久以前已经灭绝了,但这丝毫不阻碍孩子们幻想有恐龙的日子。

这本书大概是一个恐龙迷的叙述,他想象着如果恐龙回来了,哇,那么我们的生活会有很多改变,很多有意思的事情会发生吧。比如,他想如果恐龙回来了,那么人们就可以骑着恐龙去上班如果恐龙回来了,它们可以帮人们除草、给人们当梯子用如果恐龙回来了,它们可以吓走强盗如果恐龙回来了,它们可以帮农民犁地、帮伐木工人砍树;等等等等。

真的是很有想象力呢,在故事的叙述人眼中,恐龙还能帮我们做什么呀?我们就来一起看一看吧。

Objectives阅读目标

Kids will:

孩子们将要:

1.Listen to the story “If the Dinosaurs Came Back” and answer questions during the reading.

听故事,并回答出相应的问题。

2.Try to recall what dinosaurs could do if they came back.

尝试回忆一下书中提到了如果恐龙回来可以做哪些事情。

3.Understand since dinosaurs can’t actually come back, the author use subjunctive mood to write the book.

i.e. “if the dinosaur came back, they could …” / “if the dinosaur came back, … would/ wouldn’t …”

理解由于恐龙是不可能真正回来的,所以作者在书中用了虚拟语气(要用来表示假设,而非客观存在的事实)。

体现出来的就是从句中came back用了过去式,主句中用了could/ would/ wouldn’t。

4.Match the verb phrases to the pictures.

将动词词组和图片进行匹配。

阅读前引导

1、 让孩子看书的封面,问孩子看到了什么What do you see?(好多恐龙I see many dinosaurs.),他们在森林里吗?Are they living in the forest?(不是,是在很多高楼大厦之间。No, they aren't. They are among many tall buildings. )看看地上,还有什么?Look at the ground.What else can you see?(啊,还有好多汽车。And there are many cars.)这看起来像是现在的生活嘢?恐龙是生活在现在的吗?现在还有恐龙?Are dinosaurs living in the present? Can we see dinosaurs now?(现在已经没有恐龙了嘢。But there are no dinosaurs now.)那为什么恐龙会在高楼大厦中间呢?Why the dinosaurs among many tall buildings.

【指着标题】对了,我们这本书就叫做Alright, the book's name is "If the Dinosaurs Came Back".如果恐龙回来的话。啊,他是在想象如果恐龙来到了现代,它们会做什么呢?If the Dinosaurs Came Back, what would they do?(我们来快速看一遍书吧。Let's read the book together.)

2、 把书快速翻一遍,让孩子留意书中的图画有些什么(What do you see in the pictures?),如:很多恐龙、很多人骑在恐龙身上(难道把恐龙当成交通工具了?)、恐龙耕地、除草、伐木、人站在恐龙身上刷墙、帮助人们灭火、建房子、帮孩子取飞到书上的风筝、在图书馆放书、恐龙被牵着像是宠物一样。We can see a lot of dinosaurs, a lot of people ride on dinosaurs, dinosaurs cultivate land, weed grass, cut trees, stand on dinosaurs to paint walls, help people put out fires, build houses, help children get kites flying into books, put books in the library, and dinosaurs are led like pets.

问孩子:哦,整本书都是在说如果恐龙到了现在会做很多很多的事情。具体是哪些事情呢?Oh, if the dinosaurs came back, they would do a lot things for us.(我们一起到书里面去看一看吧。Let's read the book.)

(1) 说“我很喜欢恐龙、多希望恐龙能回来呀”这一页停一下,问孩子:这个小男孩在干嘛?What is the boy doing?(睡觉。He is sleeping.)所以他希望恐龙回来这件事情会成真的吗?Would dinosaurs really come back?(哈哈,大概不会吧。Maybe not.)但是不会成真也不妨碍我们来想象一下对吧?But, Can we imagine that?我们一起来看看小男孩希望恐龙回来能做什么呢?Let's see what the little boy hopes the dinosaurs would do when they came back.

(2) 恐龙吓走强盗这一页停一下,问孩子:这里说到了恐龙能帮人们做什么呢?What can dinosaurs do for human?

【指着图片逐个说】恐龙可以带大家上班下班、帮人们除草、让人踩着它们刷房子、可以吓跑强盗。Dinosaurs could take people to work, help people weed, let people walk on them to brush the house, can scare away robbers.

让孩子猜测:恐龙还会帮我们做什么事情呢?What else can dinosaurs do for human?

(3) 恐龙帮人们建造摩天大楼这一页停一下,问孩子:这里说到了恐龙能帮人们做什么呢?What can dinosaurs do for human?

【指着图片逐个说】恐龙可以帮农民耕地、帮伐木工人伐木、帮消防员灭火、帮建筑工人建造摩天大楼。Dinosaurs could help farmers plow land, help loggers cut trees, help firefighters put out fires, and help builders build skyscrapers.

让孩子猜测:恐龙还会帮我们做什么事情呢?What else can dinosaurs do for human?

(4) 恐龙帮图书管理员取高处的书这一页停一下,问孩子:这里说到了恐龙能帮人们做什么呢?What can dinosaurs do for human?

【指着图片逐个说】恐龙的身体可以当做超级大的滑雪场、可以在沙滩载着游泳的人们休闲、可以帮孩子们取下飞到树上的风筝、恐龙的身体可以让人们把它当做新的山峰来攀爬、在马戏团可以帮助演员完成演出、在图书馆可以帮助图书管理员从书架顶部取书下来。Dinosaur bodies can be as a super big ski resort, people can swim in the beach carrying leisure, can help the children off to fly to the kite on the tree, the dinosaur body can let people regard it as a new mountain to climb, can help an actor in a circus performance, can help the librarian in the library get books down from the top shelf.

让孩子猜测:恐龙还会帮我们做什么事情呢?What else can dinosaurs do for human?

(5) 恐龙帮人们把雨云推走这一页停一下,问孩子:这里说到了恐龙能帮人们做什么呢?What can dinosaurs do for human?

【指着图片逐个说】恐龙牙齿很多,牙医可不会失业了呢;如果恐龙回来,长颈鹿可就不是最高的动物了,它们也得仰起脖子看恐龙;恐龙还可以把雨云推走,那样就一直是天晴啦!

Dinosaurs had so many teeth that dentists wouldn't lose their jobs. If the dinosaur came back, the giraffe would not be the tallest animal. Dinosaurs could also push rain clouds away and it would have been sunny all along!

问孩子:恐龙是不是可以帮人们做很多事情呀?你觉得这些事情有意思吗?Can dinosaurs do a lot jobs for human?Do you find these things interesting?

(6) 末页,问孩子:如果恐龙回来,你会不会愿意让它做你的宠物呀?你喜欢恐龙吗?你希望恐龙可以帮你做什么事情呢?

If the dinosaur came back, would you like it to be your pet? Do you like dinosaurs? What would you like dinosaurs to do for you?

1、和孩子讨论一下书中提到了如果恐龙回来可以做哪些事情。

2、和孩子讨论由于恐龙是不可能真正回来的,因为作者在书中用了虚拟语气。体现出来的就是从句中came back用了过去式,主句中用了could/ would/ wouldn’t...

3、用图片和动作结合的方式和孩子复习一下书中一些动词词组。把“Match the verb phrases to the pictures”的作业纸给孩子,让孩子自己来连线。
