In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf.
在月光下，一片叶子上有一枚蛋。
One Sunday morning, the warm sun came up and-POP!-out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.
一个周日的早上，温暖的太阳出来了，从一颗蛋里蹦出了一个小小的非常饥饿的毛毛虫。
He started to look for some food.
他开始去寻找一些事物。
On Monday, he ate through one apple. But he was still hungry.
星期一，他吃掉了一个苹果。但是他还是饿。
On Tuesday, he ate through two pears, But he was still hungry.
星期二，他吃掉了两个梨，但是他还是饿。
On Wednesday, he ate through three plums, But he was still hungry.
星期三，他吃掉了三个李子，但是他还是饿。
On Thursday, he ate through four strawberries, But he was still hungry.
星期四，他吃掉了四个草莓，但是他还是饿。
On Friday, he ate through five oranges, But he was still hungry.
星期五，他吃掉了五个桔子，但是他还是饿。
On Saturday, he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice-cream cone, one pickle, one slice of Swiss cheese, one slice of salami,
星期六，他吃掉了一块巧克力蛋糕，一个冰淇淋，一个酸黄瓜，一片瑞士奶酪，一片意大利蒜味腊肠，
One lollipop, one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cupcake, and one slice of watermelon.
That night he had a stomachache!
一只棒棒糖，一块樱桃派，一个香肠，一个杯子蛋糕，还有一片西瓜。
那个夜晚他肚子疼了。
The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better.
第二天又是一个星期日。这只毛毛虫吃掉了一片美味的绿叶子，然后他觉得好多了。
Now he wasn't hungry any more-and he wasn't a little caterpillar any more.
He was a big, fat caterpillar.
现在他一点也不饿了，他也不再是一只小毛毛虫了。
他是一只又大又肥的毛毛虫。
He built a small house called a cocoon,around himself. He stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and…
他在他自己周围建立一个小房子，叫做茧。他待在里面超过了两周。然后他在茧上咬出了一个洞，把自己从里面推出来，然后……
He was a beautiful butterfly!
