水调歌头·泊桐庐
夏承焘
惟有雁山月，
知我在江湖。
泷滩七里如镜，
照影过桐庐。
不见羊裘老子，
为问浮名何在，
水色古今虚。
把酒欲谁语，
汀鹭夜相呼。
十年后，
数椽傍，
客星居。
关山南北，
总怜清景世间无。
落日黄河一线，
风雨长江片练，
气概一何粗。
何似泛银汉，
月底此舟孤。

夏承焘（1900—1986），字瞿禅，晚年改字瞿髯，浙江温州人。曾任浙江大学教授，《词学》杂志主编等。有《唐宋词人年谱》《天风阁诗词集》等行世。XIA Chengtao
(1900-1986), styled Heavenly Eyes & Deep Meditation, which was changed into Heavenly Eyes & Beards in his later years, a native of Wenzhou, Zhejiang. He served as a professor of Zhejiang University, Editor of the journal Lyrics Study, etc. Xia’s publications includeA Chronicle of Lyricists in the Tang and Song Dynastiesand A Poetry Anthology of Wind Attic. Mooring at Tung Lodge
—To the Tune of Prelude to Water Melody

Only the moon o’er Mt. Wild Geese
Knows I loaf across lakes and seas.
The Rapids, miles long, a mirror bright
To Tung Lodge casts its shade and light.
Don’t you espy the old man in fur
Despises all ranks void and names vain.
The water does empty remain.
To whom should I toast, and now I
Hear sand herons each to each cry.
Ten years now goes by;
On joists I rely,
A lone star on high.
North and south of Mt. Pass,
Oft I moan in the world there’s no pure sight.
The sun sets to the Yellow, a line;
Wind and rain, the Long, a streak of white.
What a pride, the towering great might!
Like in the Milky Way afloat
Is my moonlit lonely boat.
