郑州大学（郑大，Zhengzhou University），始建于1956年，坐落于河南省会郑州，是教育部与河南省人民政府“部省合作共建高校”，国家“世界一流大学建设高校”“211工程”“一省一校”重点建设高校。该校入选“2011计划”“111计划”“卓越工程师教育培养计划”“卓越法律人才教育培养计划”“卓越医生教育培养计划”“国家大学生创新性实验计划”“国家建设高水平大学公派研究生项目”、中国政府奖学金来华留学生接收院校及全国深化创新创业教育改革示范高校。
1954年教育部决定由山东大学、北京大学、吉林大学、东北大学等院校负责并提供师资，于河南省会郑州市设立一所新的大学，此即郑州大学的开端。1956年2月中央高等学校规划会议上正式确定，在郑州新建的大学命名为“郑州大学”。1981年成为首批拥有博士、硕士学位授予权的教学科研单位之一。2000年7月由原郑州大学、郑州工业大学、河南医科大学合并组建新郑州大学。2011年郑州大学成为24所中国研究生院院长联席会扩大高校之一，并正式成立研究生院。

In July 2000, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical University were merged to form the new Zhengzhou University. In 2011, the Graduate School of Zhengzhou University was officially established as one of the 24 universities expanded by the Joint Conference of Graduate School Deans of China.
