首先，TOEIC（托业）、PETS（公共英语考试）含金量为零，等于废纸一张，没有任何一家公司会看这些证书，多半是因为看不懂。所以不要浪费钱和精力去考。
Requires at least 8 years of hands-on mechanical product design engineering experience.
Must have experience with any of the following 3D CAD Tools: Solidworks, ProEngineer, etc.
Prefer a solid understanding of DOE, GD&T, SPC, or CP/CPK techniques.
Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing.
Must have mechanical design engineering experience of small parts, component design, assembly experience is a plus.
Experience with mechanical design engineering of any of the following:
consumer electronics, or small medical devices, or automotive components, or injection molding, or jigs, or tooling, or fixtures, or consumer appliances with tight tolerances will be considered.
PCB design, flex circuits or material science and basic chemistry is considered a plus, but not required.
Ability to communicate well with cross-functional team members, and be able to efficiently collaborate to achieve project goals.

但对于英语专业的来说又不同，既然是专业学这个的，有证书肯定更好的，不然对不起自己的专业。
专八肯定要有，不然你大学干嘛去了。
然后以下三选一就好了，哪怕以后不靠英语吃饭，还可以兼职做做翻译或者老师什么的，拿这些证书出来可以作为自己水平的证明(credibility).
BEC考中级没什么意义，和考个CET6一样，要么就直接考BEC高级。
考个雅思也不错，考个7.分或者7.5还可以，可以量化自己的水平。
翻译译证书比如CATTI，如果你以后想在英语这条路上长期走下去，可以考。
后记如果你想通过考证来倒逼自己学习，我一点都不反对，但是想通过他们提高自己求职竞争力，那趁早放弃，劳民伤财。
