people这个词到底应该如何使用呢？首先 people是可以有复数形式的，也可以出现a people的单数可数名词形式。这是people作为可数名词的一个高级用法.
1. 在牛津高阶中，people的英文解释为：
people means all the persons who live in a particular place or belong to a particular country, race etc. 中文解释为民族，种族，国民，可以同义词理解为ethnic group.
比如我们伟大的祖国就有很多民族噢，那么可以表达a diversity of peoples in China.
2.口语中如果表达泛指的“人们”，通常为the people,而且是复数形式，也是本题中的第一题和第二题的用法。
比如我们可以说the life of the common people 普通人的生活。
3.people作为复数概念的“人们”也可以和名词或者数词进行搭配，表达数量的限定或者某个行业或者领域的人。
比如：a meeting with business people and bankers 与商界和银行界人士的会晤
