3. I prefer the teacher who is patient with us students.我更喜欢对我们学生有耐心的老师。
二、prefer sth. to sth. = like sth. better than sth. 意为 “更喜欢---胜过---”
1. I prefer coffee to juice. = I like coffee better than juice. 比起果汁，我更喜欢喝咖啡。
2. He prefers bread to rice. = He likes bread better than rice.与米饭相比，他更喜欢吃米饭。
三、prefer doing sth. to doing sth. 意为“比起做----更喜欢做---”
= like doing sth. better than doing sth.
Lucy prefers hanging out to doing her homework.露西喜欢闲逛胜过做作业。
=Lucy likes hanging out than doing her homework.
四、prefer to do sth. 意为 “愿意做---”
Tom preferred to leave here just now. 刚才Tom宁愿离开
五、Prefer to do sth. rather than do sth. 意为“宁愿做---，不愿做---”
= would rather do sth. than do sth.
Their friends prefer to go hiking rather than ride bikes.
= Their friends would rather go hiking than ride bikes.
