那你知道“牛年”用英语怎么说吗？
我们比较熟悉“牛”的英文名是 cow，
那“牛年”难道是 cow year？
当然不是啦！

除了 cow，其实 bull, ox, cattle, buffalo, calf
都有“牛”的意思，

其实 have a cow 的正确意思是：
大惊小怪、激动、生气

这个句式因为《辛普森一家》流行起来的，
里面的Bart超爱说这一句：
Don’t have a cow! 别生气，别大惊小怪

这里 china 是小写，指的是“瓷器”，
这句话从字面翻译过来，
意思就是“一只公牛进了瓷器店”。
如果一头喷着鼻息、怒气冲冲的公牛
闯进摆满精致瓷器的店里，
那情况肯定会非常糟糕。
所以 a bull in a china shop 是用来形容：
笨手笨脚的人，鲁莽闯祸的人

take the bull by the horns
字面上的意思是“捉住公牛的角”，
这是多么大胆的行为啊，
