为什么?
old只表示：
年纪大的,东西旧的
比如
How old are you? 你多大了？
The desk is old. 桌子旧了。
你要是说:The meat is too old.
就是在说:肉的年纪很大
(不能笑,憋住~~哈哈哈哈哈)
而我们说的"肉太老"
是说"肉质太硬,嚼不烂的"
正确表达:
The meat is too tough.
=肉太老了
tough表示：
(食物)老的,咬不烂的
比如
This steak is too tough.
这块牛排太老了。
These apples have tough skins.
这些苹果的皮太老了。
其他表达:
The meat is overcooked.
肉太老了
overcooked
=把……煮过头了
比如
The chicken was overcooked and dry.
这鸡烤过头了，都干了。
