《The House that Jack Built》杰克盖的房子
每个人都有一个梦想中的家。我自己也经历过一次建房子，我按照自己理想的样子设计了楼层，设计了房间，但是图纸到了施工方，无法实现。不是户型不好，就是施工难度太大，总之就是不行。随着工期越来越近，设计图被仓促地敲定下来，它不是我理想的样子，但是却是最有利于施工的样子。后来，我又有了一个装修自己房子的机会，众所周知，装修是个麻烦事，盯材料盯施工盯质量，还跟装修公司闹得很不愉快。总之，想有一个理想的家，过程，太难了。
This is Jack, a lad who had no place to live. But Jack had a plan for a house that he wanted to build.
这，是杰克。他是一个无家可归的单身汉。但是，杰克有一个自己造房子的计划。

这就是杰克想建造的房屋的设计图。他把这个图纸的设计叫做：杰克的造房计划。
This is the land that Jack found for his house to stand on.
这是杰克为了建造他的小房子找的一块地皮。
"I'll build my house here in this nice quiet place. It's a beautiful space." said Jack.
“我要在一个非常安静的地方建造我的房子。一个优美的地方。”杰克是这样想的。
This is the hole that Jack made with his spade. He hug a big square, just where the house would be.
这是杰克用他的铁锹挖出来的一个洞。他挖了很大的一个空间出来，那就是他的房子所在的区域。
This is the concrete that filled in the hole. It made a strong floor to hold up the walls of the house that Jack built.
他又在洞里填上了混凝土。那会让杰克的小屋有一个很坚固的地板，足够支撑起四周的墙壁。
These are the bricks that were built into walls for the house that Jack built.
这些是建造墙壁所需要的砖头。杰克自己把一块块砖头垒成了一面面墙。
This is the pile of shiny new tiles that went on the roof to keep the rain out of the house that Jack built.
这是为了防止房子进水而在房顶铺设的瓦片，杰克一个人一片片把他们铺在了房顶。
This is the glass that went in the windows to let Jack see out of the house that Jack built.
这是建造房子里的窗户所需要的玻璃，有了玻璃，杰克才能有宽阔的视野。
This is the wood and these are the nails that made the door to keep Jack and his things safe inside the house that Jack built.
这是建造房子所需要的木板还有钉子。正确地使用木板和钉子能够保证杰克和里面东西的安全。
These are lots of pots of paint. They coloured the walls of the house that Jack built.
还有很多的油漆罐。杰克把他们粉刷在墙壁上。
This is the van that brought Jack's things to make a home of the house that Jack built.
这辆货车把杰克的很多旧家当都搬到了他们建造的房子里。
At last,here is the house that Jack built. All finished! Isn't it fine?
最后，杰克的房子建好了。所有都完工了。他漂亮吗？
And isn't it quiet?
它真的很安静吗？
Until Jack found a wife, and a baby.
直到，杰克找到了他的妻子，直到，他们有了小宝宝。
and a dog, and a cat.
后来，他们还养了一条狗，和一只猫。
Now there wasn't much room and there wasn't much peace in the house that Jack built.
直到现在，杰克建造的小房子里再也没有多余的房间，也没有安宁了。
So Jack made a plan to make his house bigger.
所以，杰克准备把他的房子扩建起来。
And now Jack's back where he first began! But with no new noise.
现在，杰克又回到了他的起点！不是的是，再也没有新的噪音了。
