众所周知，英语的动词带有宾语，表达比较完整的意义。部分形容词意义不完整，需要带宾语补充意义，构成形容词短语，可以带宾语的形容词有以下几种情况：
（1）worth用名词、代词、动名词作宾语
The exhibition is worth a visit. 这个展览值得参观。
How much is the picture worth? 这幅画值多少钱？
The care isn't woth repairing. 这辆车不值得修理。
（2）有些形容词和一定的介词组成短语形容词，后面接宾语，用来补充说明形容词
He is fond of music. 他喜欢音乐。
She was ignorant of his presence. 她不知道他在场。
（3）有些形容词可以用不定式或不定式短语作宾语
He is always ready to help others. 他总是乐于助人。
She is impatient to see her friends. 她急于要见她的朋友。
（4）有些形容词可以用从句作宾语
I am afraid that he will die. 我担心他会死。
Are you sure that he will come? 你肯定他要来吗？
