OTT 是什么意思？
OTT：over the top 太过分；太过头
OTT 是老外常用的缩写，全称是 over the top ，含义是太过分。
这个表达既可以指事情做得太过分，也可以形容穿着或妆容太夸张，她今天化的妆有点夸张就是 Her make-up is a bit OTT today.
overdo [ˌoʊvərˈduː] 做过头
overcook [ˌoʊvərˈkʊk] （食物）煮过头了；煮得太熟
over 也是常用的英文前缀，有超过的含义，overdo 也就是做事超过限度了，overcook 就是煮得太熟了，太过分也可以直接用 overdo 表示。
例句：It is really a bit OTT to scold children in front of their friends.当着孩子朋友的面斥责他们，真的是有点过分了。
go too far 太过分
OTT 这个表达不够正式，多用在口语中。如果你想表达得更规范，可以用下面这些英文。
go too far 做得过分
You are going too far 你太过分了
例句：To be honest, his jokes are funny, but sometimes he goes too far.说实话，他讲的笑话是很好笑，但有时候也太过分了。
cross the line （行为）越界；过分
You are crossing the line 你太过分了
You are out of line 你过分了
cross the line 表达行为越界，和过分是一个意思。你太过分了可以说 you are crossing the line 或 you are out of line.
例句：You are crossing the line this time and I also can not put up with you.你这次做得太过分了，我也忍不了你了。
That is a bit much 有点过分了
a bit much 不是有点多，而是太过分。
美剧里经常能看到 it/that is a bit much这个句子，意思就是这太过分了。

be over the moon 不是在月亮上，而是非常高兴。
人在特别兴奋的时候，常常会有种轻飘飘的感觉。月球上的引力比地球小很多，人在月亮上会失重，也会觉得浑身轻飘飘的。
be over the moon 的意思是非常高兴，大家别搞错了。
例句：She was over the moon after getting a gift.收到礼物后，她欣喜若狂。
over the hill ≠ 在山上
over the hill 过了壮年；开始衰退；走下坡路
释义： old and therefore no longer useful or attractive
看到 over the hill，也许有人会想起一句歌词，越过山丘才发现无人等候。但这里的 over the hill 真不能这么理解，翻译成山上面也是错的。
这里的 hill 指代的是巅峰时期，over the hill 的意思就是说一个人已经过了全盛时期了，所以他现在老了没以前有用了，也没以前那么风光了。
例句：An athlete told me that he was over the hill in his thirties.有个运动员告诉我，他在三十多岁的时候开始走下坡路了。
