二、名词的分类
一）. 名词可以根据意义分为普通名词和专有名词
如：Tom is a worker.
worker是普通名词，Tom是专有名词
普通名词前可以用不定冠词a/an, 定冠词the 或不加冠词.
专有名词是个别的人、团体、机构或事物的名称：China ,Beijing , Canada , America , Guangdong , Amy, 所有专有名词开头的字母必须大写
二）普通名词又可以分为以下四类
1.个体名词 表示某类人或东西中的个体 ： pen dog car
2．集体名词 表示若干个体组成的集合体：family class
3．物质名词 表示无法分为个体的实物： water tea milk
4．抽象名词 表示动作、状态、品质、感情等抽象的概念： love cold hunger
注意：个体名词和集体名词统称为可数名词
物质名词与抽象名词统称为不可数名词，前面不能加a或an来表示量。
不可数名词的数量一般用some, much, a lot of ,lots of ,a little, little等数量形容词表示：some meat，a lot of food ,a little water,用量词短语结构来表示常用a piece of, a bottle of , a glass of 等来表示。
例如: a glass of milk 一杯牛奶 two cups of tea 两杯茶
three bowls of rice 三碗米饭 a piece of paper 一张纸

所有格的构成: 1.有生命的名词 2. 无生命的名词
1. 有生命的名词
(1) 一般单数名词后加's 如:my brother's book, Jack's cat, the girl's pen
(2 )以-s或-es结尾的复数名词的所有格，只需在名词右上方加'。
如:girl's dress，teachers' office
注意:在不规则复数名词后，要加's如:policewomen's clothes.
(3) 如果一样东西为两个人共有，在后一个名词词尾加's，
如: Mike and Peter's room 迈克和彼得的房间(共有)
(4)如果一样东西不是共有的，两个名词都要加's
如:Mike's and Peter's rooms 迈克的房间和彼得的房间(不共有，各一个)
2. 无生命名词的所有格，通常用“of 名词”的结构来表示。
如: the windows of the room 房间的窗户 a picture of the park一张公园的照
3. 双重所有格形式
“of ’s” 结构或 “of 名词性物主代词”结构，表示许多中的一个（或一部分）
a teacher of my sister’s（我姐姐的一位老师）
a friend of hers（她的一位朋友）
a photo of Tim’s（Tim的一张照片）
some students of Peggy’s（Peggy的一些学生）
