教材简析

《新课标》要求在教学中帮助学生了解世界,认识中西方文化的差异,拓展视野。本课教学设计围绕Good manners为主题线索。在第一课时中,学生已经初步了解了一些公共场合的礼仪,对深入学习有了强烈的求知欲。第二课时,重点学习中国古今以及各国的见面礼仪,引导学生在原有的语言知识与生活经验的基础上,学习中西方见面礼仪的差异,学会尊重他人,做文明人。

教学目标

通过本课时的学习,学生能够:

  1. 理解文本内容,提取、分析、整理文本信息。
  2. 运用should/ shouldn’t句型表述行为方式,培养表达能力和逻辑判断能力。
  3. 感知人们的行为方式会影响他人,树立正确的人生观,做高素质的人。
  4. 通过阅读理解,学习中西方见面礼仪,学会尊重他国文化习俗。

教学重点、难点

  1. 巩固和运用祈使句以及核心单词(manners、feeling、respect、borrow等)。
  2. 学习运用 should/ shouldn’t表述自己的观点。
  3. 了解个人行为方式对他人以及社会的影响,树立正确的三观,做一个讲文明懂礼貌的人。
  4. 了解中国古今见面礼仪以及他国见面礼仪,尊重不同国家的文化习俗。

学情分析

学生已有五年的英语学习经验,有一定的词汇量,对世界和未知充满了探索和求知的欲望,具有一定的思考能力、表达能力和学习能力。在教学中要帮助学生发挥特长,提高综合语言运用能力。

In Thailand, people greet other people with Namaste(合十礼). That means you should put the palms together.

Shaking hands is the most popular greeting manner in New Zealand. But there is something different among Maori. Maori were the first people to live in New Zealand. They are really friendly. When they meet others, they usually greet with Hongi(碰鼻礼).

When you greet people with Hongi, you should lower your eyes, put your left hand on their shoulders, use your right hand to hold theirs, and touch the tip of their noses with yours.
