第122讲 from 这样翻译，stop---from之类词组就很好记忆了
我们常常看到有很多的动词短语都带有from这个词。
这个from到底是什么意思呢？
比如：
prevent from，很多书籍都翻译成“预防”，没有把from翻译出来。
如果我们明白了from在这里的意思，我们就很容易理解和记住以下的短语了。
很简单，我们把from理解成“让其:免于，脱离，不受到……”就可以了
1]prevent…from
防止……[阻止---，让其免于，就是预防了]
We must prevent our belongings from being stolen
我们必须防止我们的财物被偷盗
2] protect …from
保护某人某物，让其免于, 不受到……
And we also protect our money from being taken away by cheats
我们也应该保护我们的钱财免得被骗起拿走。
3] keep …from
保持某人某物跟……保持距离，让其免于, 不受到……
We keep the thief from us.
我们让那小偷不能靠近我们。
4] keep away from
保持某人某物远离
The thief can not keep away from drug，so he can not keep himself from stealing others’ things.
那小偷不能远离毒品，所以，他不偷东西就浑身发痒。

阻止或阻拦某人某物让其脱离，阻止某人某物干某事
That day，the policeman stopped the thief from running away.
那天，那警察拦住小偷不让他跑走。
6】escape… from
逃走并且脱离，让其免于, 不受到……
The thief wanted to escape from prison.
But he could not escape from being cought again.
那小偷想从监狱溜之大吉。
但是他不能逃出再次被抓[的命运]。
7】break away from
断绝关系并且脱离
He never planned to break away from his past and his escaping plan.
他从来没有计划【从没想过】要脱离他的过去和他的逃跑计划。
8】hinder from
阻止某人某物并且脱离，让其免于, 不受到……
It was not true that he was hindered from having the silly ideas again.
他被阻止了，不得再有这样的愚蠢想法，那是真的。

阻止某人某物并且脱离，让其免于, 不受到……
The policemen hindered the thief from doing silly things and told him how strong the prison was
那些警察阻止那个小偷做傻事，并且告诉他这监狱有多么地坚固。
