堪：可以忍受；
回首：回顾、回忆。
原多用以表达没落阶级回忆过去时感到今不如昔的那种无可奈何的心情。
后泛用以表示不忍再去回忆过去的惨痛经历或情景。
Kan：can tolerate;
Huishou：Review, recall.
The original is mostly used to express the declining class to recall the past to feel worse than the kind of helpless mood.
Later the general use to show that you can not bear to recall the painful experience or scene in the past.
