根，在中国常常代表着事物的起源。5年前，在成都西大街97号院子里，一群年轻的舞者，因为一种自由的舞蹈聚集在一起。最近，他们计划在博物馆里进行一场舞蹈快闪，用肢体动作展现出古蜀文明的根源。
In China, roots often stand for origins. Five years ago, in the yard of No. 97, West Street, Chengdu, a group of young dancers gathered for a free dance. Recently, they've planned a flash mob dance in the museum to show the roots of ancient Sichuan civilization through body movements.
《根》是四川现代舞蹈团和以色列舞蹈编导去年合作的作品，它的灵感主要来自三星堆和金沙遗址博物馆中的文物以及图像资料，用根这个抽象的概念，来解读古蜀人的繁衍生息和古蜀文化的薪火相传。
“Root” is a work of collaboration between the Sichuan Modern Dance Troupe and an Israeli choreographer last year. The dance is mainly inspired by cultural relics and image materials in Sanxingdui Museum and Jinsha Site Museum. With the abstract concept of root, we can interpret the reproduction and survival of ancient Sichuan people and the inheritance of ancient Sichuan culture.
陈也晨，四川现代舞蹈团的副团长，负责15个演员的日常排练日程的安排。
Chen Yechen, Deputy Head of the Sichuan Modern Dance Troupe, is responsible for arranging daily rehearsal schedules for dancers.
这一次，她们回到《根》的背景地之一，就是金沙遗址博物馆，用《根》里面的一些现代舞片段，进行一场快闪活动，希望能让观众和舞者，在博物馆的古蜀文化氛围里，感受到一种全新的现代舞体验。
This time, they plan to go back to the Jinsha Site Museum,one of the inspirations of “Root”. With some modern dance elements in “Root”, a flash mob activity is held. They hope visitors and dancers can experience a new performance of modern dance in the ancient Sichuan cultural atmosphere of the museum.
这个场馆不是根据舞台来设计的，它是一个博物馆，比如说演员正在抒情，或者正在做动作的时候，有一个游客过来给你拍两张照，这些都有可能会干扰到演员的思维。
The venue is in the museum but not designed as a stage. For example, when dancers are expressing their feelings or making movements, a visitor could come up and take photos of them. All of those may disturb the dancers.
四川现代舞蹈团是2014年7月正式成立的，金星老师是艺术总监。那会儿演员都是从传统舞蹈上转过来的，没接触过，相当于从头开始。刚开始其实不是太顺利。
The Sichuan Modern Dance Troupe was officially established in July 2014. At first, Ms. Jin Xing was the artistic director. At that time, the dancers, who had only performed traditional dance before, began to learn to perform modern dance, and they had to learn it from scratch. At first, it didn’t go well.
好的是在第三年，第四年的时候，作品要从容很多，作品有《男城女》《WE》，《今生》《草民》《根》。
Luckily, in the third and fourth years, there were more natural works including “Men, Women and City”, “We”, “This Life”, “Common People” and “Gen”.
从2017年开始，舞团先后到了澳大利亚，埃及，斐济，美国，老挝，德国，以色列这样的国家进行演出。
Since 2017, the dance troupe has performed in Australia, Egypt, Fiji, the United States, Laos, Germany, Israel and other countries successively.
四川现代舞蹈团的宿舍，所有的演员来了基本都会住这。陈也晨以前就住这楼上，她的整个青春都在这，住了12年，这个地方算是她的第二个家。
Here is the dorm of Sichuan Modern Dance Troupe. Basically, all the dancers stay after their arrival. Chen Yechen used to live upstairs for 12 years, spending her whole youth in this place. She had stayed here for 12 years, so this dorm can be seen as her second home.
从14岁读书就寄宿学校，毕业以后当兵，退伍以后就到公司，陈也晨对父母是有一定愧疚感的，
Chen Yechen went to a boarding school when she was 14. After graduation, she joined the army. After leaving the army, she went to work in a company. In fact, she feels guilty for her parents.
基本上每次回家的时候，爸爸都会给她做她比较喜欢吃的，母亲曾跟她开过玩笑，说彼此只是一顿晚饭的关系。
Every time she goes home, her dad generally cooks her favorite food. Chen Yechen's mother once joked with her that they were just dinner partners.
优人神鼓是整个亚洲乃至国际都非常杰出的团体，常常有人形容优人神鼓的表演是静中有动，动中有静。他们这次在文殊院的快闪，跟陈也晨之后要在金沙遗址博物馆做的快闪活动是有很多的相似点。
U-Theatre is an outstanding group in Asia and even in the world. The performance of U-Theatre is often described as combining motion and stillness together. Their flash mob in Wenshu Temple is quite similar to Chen Yechen and her patners' activity in Jinsha Site Museum later.
陈也晨与团队希望能借鉴一些他们的训练方式，演员在演出时候的一些表达方式。
Chen Yechen hopes she can learn some of their training methods and the expression of their performers in the performance.
行走在遗迹馆里，舞者在古蜀文物和现代游客中间穿梭，想象自己和三千多年前的古蜀人一样，用自己的眼睛，看见现代文明的一切。
Walking in the Ritual Site at Jinsha, they shuttled between ancient Shu cultural relics and modern tourists, imagining that they be the ancient Shu people more than 3000 years ago, and see everything of modern civilization with their own eyes.
金沙遗址代表了三星堆之后，古蜀文明的又一次高峰，这次快闪活动，希望能用现代舞者的身体语言，在太阳神鸟的光影里，在古老的乌木林包裹里，还有沉睡千年的祭祀遗迹馆里，去诉说古蜀文明的历史碎片，找寻成都这座城市的文化之根。
The Jinsha Site represents another peak of ancient Sichuan civilization after that in Sanxingdui. In this flash dance show, they hope to use modern dancers' body language to tell the stories of the historical fragments in the ancient Shu civilization, and to look for the cultural roots of Chengdu City in the light and shadow of the Solar Divine Bird, to amid the ancient ebony grove and in the pavilions of sacrificial relics that have been sleeping for thousands of years.
