每个人的生肖都代表一种祥瑞之兽。这是我们来到这个世界后，民族文化给我们带来的第一份礼物。
有的人属虎，虎虎生威；有人属龙，龙马精神；也有人属狗，瑞犬纳福。
那“我属狗”英语怎么说呢？直接说 I'm a Dog 也没错~

我属狗
Dog 可以表示“狗年出生的人”，所以 I'm a Dog 可能听起来有点奇怪，但它的意思不是“我是狗”，而是“我属狗”。
要注意的是，英语中，表示生肖时，动物首字母要大写。

I was born in the year of the Dog.
我属狗、我是狗年出生的
如果实在担心跟外国人说 I'm a Dog 会引起尴尬，那可以这样说：I was born in the year of the Dog。
the year of the Dog 是“狗年”的意思，这里有两个 the，都不能省略哦。另外，year 的首字母可以大写，也可以不大写。
I was born in 1970, the year of the Dog.
我是 1970 年出生的，属狗。
“你属什么”英语怎么说？
在讲怎么用英语对别人的生肖提问前，我们先来看看“生肖”用英语怎么说~
zodiac sign
生肖、属相、星座
zodiac 读作/'zəʊdɪæk/，是星座的统称，而具体到某个星座，就要说 zodiac sign。那这跟生肖有什么关系呢？
西方没有十二生肖，只有十二星座，所以“生肖”的英语就借用了 zodiac 这个单词，用 Chinese zodiac 表示。
但是 Chinese zodiac 是生肖的统称，要具体指某个生肖时，也要说 zodiac sign。
zodiac sign 既能表示星座，也能表示生肖，到底是哪种意思，要看语境讲的是西方还是中国，还是很好分辨的~
There is no cat in the Chinese zodiac.
十二生肖里没有猫。

你属什么？
要问别人属什么，上面两个句子都可以。为什么两个句子里都加了 Chinese 呢？这是因为不加 Chinese，又没有语境，这两个句子问的就是星座了。

你是什么星座？
“本命年”又怎么说?

和生肖一起常说的，还有“本命年”，它的英语比较常用的是 zodiac year，也就是与生肖相符的年份。
1. The year of the Ox is my zodiac year.
牛年是我的本命年。
2. The next year is my zodiac year.
明年是我的本命年。

对本命年提问，可以用 when，也可以用 which year 来问具体的年份~
-When is your zodiac year?
