Playing Frisbee
玩飞盘
Mom: The weather is so nice today.
妈妈：今天天气真好。
Let's go to the park!
我们去公园吧！
It's a good opportunity to get some exercise.
这是个锻炼身体的好机会。
Child: Can we play frisbee?
宝宝：咱们能玩飞盘吗？
I don't know how to use it, so can you show me how?
我还不知道怎么玩，你能教教我吗？
Mom: That's a great idea.
妈妈：好主意！
Let's go out and I will show you.
咱们出门吧，我来教你。
☀ At the Park 在公园
Mom: First, we need to find an open area with plenty of space.
妈妈：首先，我们要找一片地儿足够大的空地。
Child: How about over there?
宝宝：那边怎么样？
Mom: Perfect! Before we throw it back and forth,
妈妈：好极了！在我们来回来去扔之前，
扔飞盘的扔既可以用throw，也可以用toss。
let me show you how to throw it and catch it.
我给你示范一下如何扔、如何接。
Here is the frisbee, some people might call it a disc.
这是飞盘（英文有两种说法）。
Hold it with the open side down,
开口面朝下拿着，
with your thumb on the top
拇指在上，
and fingers holding onto the edge.
四指握住边。
Or, you can place your index finger against the edge
或者，你也可以用食指扣住边，
and the rest of your fingers underneath like this.
剩下三个手指像这样在底下。
Then, bring it back towards you
然后，把它朝自己这边往回收，
by bending your elbow and curling in your wrist.
胳膊肘弯曲、手腕往里卷。
Then swing it back out with your arm
然后胳膊再甩出去，
and let go to let it fly.
松手，让它飞出去。
Watch me.
看我。
Child: Nice job, Mom.
宝宝：好棒啊，妈妈。
I'll try now.
现在我来试试吧。
☀ The child throws it 宝宝扔
Child: It just went to the ground.
宝宝：它直接朝地上去了。
Mom: It's okay.
妈妈：没关系。
Try to be a little smoother when you throw it
扔的时候再连贯一点，
and aim it up just a little.
角度再往上一点。
☀ The frisbee goes straight to the ground again 飞盘又直冲向地面了
Child: Oh, no!
宝宝：哎呀！
Mom: It's okay.
妈妈：没关系。
I think it's because you didn't let go at the right time.
可能是松手的时机不太对。
☀ Mom moves further away
妈妈离得更远了
Mom: Now try to aim for me.
妈妈：现在朝我扔。
Try to do it quickly with a flick at the end.
扔的时候动作要快，最后手一弹。
There you go!
这回对了！
Good job!真棒！
Child: Wow! I did it!
宝宝：哇！成功啦！
☀ Child throws it some more 宝宝继续练习
Mom: It seems that you've got the hang of it.
妈妈：你好像找到窍门了。
Now, I will show you how to catch a frisbee.
现在我来教你如何接飞盘。
You can use two hands and grab it at the sides,
你可以双手去抓飞盘的边，
or you can use a method called pancake
或者你可以用拍饼法，
where you catch it with one hand on the bottom
接它的时候一只手在下，
and one hand on top of the frisbee
一只手在飞盘上，
and slap your hands together.
双手一拍。
You use whichever way you find easier to start with.
一开始你觉得哪种方法更简单，就用哪种方法。
Child: Okay, can I try now?
宝宝：好的，我现在能试试吗？
Mom: Yes, let's stand close together to start with
妈妈：嗯，我们一开始先站近一点，
and the better we get at throwing and catching,
等咱们扔接熟练了，
we can move further away from each other.
我们就可以离远一些了。
☀ Child misses it 宝宝没接住
Child: Oops!
宝宝：哎呦！
☀ and picks it up and throws it to Mom
捡起来，再扔给妈妈
Child: There!
宝宝：走你！
Mom: You did great for a beginner!
妈妈：作为初学者，你已经很棒啦！
It does take lots of practice to throw it to your partner so they can catch it.
扔给别人，能让对方接得住，确实要多练习。
Now, we can continue to toss it back and forth,
现在我们可以继续来回扔，
or we can designate certain areas to be targets,
或者我们也可以划分出不同的目标区域，
which will each be worth some points.
每个有特定的分值。
We can see who can get the most points after a number of tries.
我们扔一定次数之后，看看谁的得分最高。
Child: Let's try the game.
宝宝：咱们试试比赛吧。
It seems easier.
看起来更简单。
Mom: Sounds good!
妈妈：好呀！
