北京时间7月16日，据美媒报道，消息人士透露湖人无意用塔伦-霍顿-塔克来交易得到帕特里克-贝弗利。因为湖人仍将21岁的塔克视为未来重要的组成部分，湖人目前唯一有真实兴趣的交易是有关于欧文的交易，而他们所希望的正如此前佩林卡所描述的，他们希望让阵容更年轻，速度更快，更有运动能力。
