当我在十字路口等红灯时，注意到一个外卖送货员也在等红灯。连续三个路口他都在等红灯，这让我非常惊讶。根据多年的观察，我从未期望有哪个送货员会遵守交通规则，但他却在三个红灯处等了三次。我告诉妻子，他是我见过的唯一遵守交通规则的人。
很快我们到达了第四个十字路口，又是红灯。所有人都在斑马线前停下。我转身对妻子说：“这个人值得表扬。” 话还没说完，那个人突然加速，开着电动车，冲过停车线，凭借他熟练的骑行技巧，绕过了几辆车到了路的另一边。我终于知道，没有外卖送货员会遵守交通规则，而且他们永远也不会。
Have you ever seen a takeout delivery man who obeys the traffic rules?
When I was waiting for the red light at an intersection, I noticed a takeout delivery man waiting as well at the same light. He did so at three consecutive intersections, which surprised me very much.
I had never expected any delivery man to obey the traffic rules according to my years of observation for it, but he, however, waited three times at three red lights. I told my wife that he was the only person I had ever seen that observed the traffic regulations.
When we reached the fourth intersection and the red light went on again. All people stopped at the zebra crossing. I turned to my wife and said, “This man deserves praise.” I did not finished what I was saying when the man unexpectedly accelerated his e-bike, rode across the parking line, and with his cycling skills, bypassed several cars to the opposite side of the road. I finally know that no takeout delivery men will obey any traffic rules, and they never will.
