The False Bay in South Africa has been famous for the gathering Great White Sharks. But since January this year, animal lovers have reported the species vanishing from the water.

The great whites are the world’s largest predatory fish.
They are known to migrate long distances, but scientists don’t know exactly where they go.
Neither do they know how many of them exist. But they are considered an endangered species.
Beach safety organization Shark Spotters recorded zero sharks from January to April this year, a time when the great whites flock to the popular surfing beach near Cape Town.
Usually, they can spot great whites at least 200 times a year.
Neither do tourist boats track their trace. There’s no signal from radio sensors installed in the sharks in 2017 either.
The Shark Spotters says this is the first time this has happened since the organization was established 16 years ago. They are trying to figure out why.
Replacement by Orcinus orca on the top of the food chain, overfishing, shark poaching and water pollution are possible reasons.
They are worried that the vanishing of the species could impact the ecosystem near the water.
