用英语学英语口语：to stand somebody up就是“放人鸽子”吗？
学“英语“放鸽子”怎么说？”不只是学“这个中文用英语怎么说？”，而是还要学“英语的“放鸽子”用英语怎么说？”
这就是训练自己学会“忘词”说英语：“忘词”可以是真的忘了，也可以是故意忘词，故意不说那个中文对应的英语词，而是用英语换个说法同样把它表达出来。
2) What is to stand sb. up in English?
首先，to stand sb. up 肯定是keep your promise行为吧？所以，to stand sb. up应该能说keep your promise这个学过的英语。
其次，to stand sb. up也是show up行为吧？所以，不说to stand sb. up，改说show up也行。
最后，to stand sb.up是与date有关吧？
现在，可以用英语表达to stand sb. up了：
Well,if you stand sb.up, that means you do not keep your promise and do not show up on your date/appointment/there will be no-show on your date.
下次，你忘词to stand sb. up了，你说you do not keep/honor your promise and do not show up on your date/there will be no-show on your date，别人也知道你说to stand sb. up的意思。
