该段讲了故事的背景，讲了火灾发生的时间(Yesterday)和作者在做什么( I was playing videogames in my room when I heard people screaming)，还讲了火灾发生的地点(my neighbor's house was on fire)。
再来看第二段
In less than 10 minutes the firemen arrived and fought against the fire for one hour until they made it.
Wow! They are really brave! One of them entered the house and saved the Johnson's dog that was trapped in the fire.
该段讲了消防员来了后做的事情：不到10分钟(In less than 10 minutes)他们就来了(the firemen arrived )，然后灭火1个小时(fought against the fire for one hour until they made it.)。还举例说明消防员的勇敢：他们中的一个人进了扇子，救了一只陷入火灾的小狗(One of them entered the house and saved the Johnson's dog that was trapped in the fire. )。
最后来看第三段
I made a decision: I want to be a fireman when I grow up. I'll be strong and brave enough to fight against the fire, to save people's lives and property. I can't wait! I can already see it in the newspaper: "Brave fireman rescues a family of four". Mom will be really proud.
该段讲了作者的感想和他的决定：他长大后也要当消防员(I want to be a fireman when I grow up.)还想象了一下他当上消防员后他做的事情和妈妈为他骄傲。
整篇文章逻辑清晰，孩子们在写类似的文章时可以参考，按照这样的顺序来写作：
先介绍故事发生的背景：时间、地点、人物等
再介绍故事发生时的重要事件，可以举具体的事例来描述
最后表达自己的感想，如此事对自己的启发，自己今后要怎么做。或者像本文一样写自己的愿望，并想象愿望实现之后的事情。
这篇文章有2道题目，一起来看一下。
第1题是判断正误题。
要根据文章内容，判断所给的句子是否正确。正确的写T，错误的写F。如果错误，请说出错误的原因，并说出正确的答案。
样例：
答题思路:

The boy's house was on fire.这个男孩的家着火了。
我们先回到原文去找。原文第一段描述了故事发生的背景，最后一句写道 I went out and saw: my neighbor's house was on fire.我出去看到我邻居的房子着火了。
由此可以判断，这句话是错的，不是男孩的家着火了，是他邻居的房子着火了。
所以填F。
口头描述正确答案是：The boy's neighbor's house was on fire.Not the boy's house was on fire.
第2题是回答问题。
样例：
What was the boy doing when the neighbor's house caught fire?
邻居家着火时男孩在做什么？
答题思路：
我们依旧是回到原文去找。原文第一段描述了故事发生的背景，他写道Yesterday I was playing videogames in my room when I heard people screaming. I went out and saw: my neighbor's house was on fire.
从 I was playing videogames in my room可以找到答案。火灾发生时，作者在房间里玩游戏。
题目问的是What was the boy doing...?
在写答案时要将第一人称改为第三人称The boy或者He。
正确答案是They boy(He) was playing videogames in his room when the neightbor's house caught fire.
