第84讲 今天拿下重点：that和those 替代前面提到的名词
1] that 和those 的基本意思
that 那个，那个东西，事物，人。单数。
those，那些，那些东西，那些事物，那些人。复数。
2] 替代作用
that 和those都可以替代前面提到多人物事。
一般用在比较句子中。
that用来替代前面提到的单数的人物事，those用来替代前面提到的复数的人物事。
[1]在比较级句子中：
My bike is not better than that of his friend.
我的自行车不比他朋友的那辆自行车好……那辆自行车，就是that
Their bikes are better than those of their friends.
他们的自行车比他们朋友的那些自行车好……那些自行车，就是those。
[2]替代不可数名词只能用that
The weather here appears worse than that in England
[3] 用在原级比较中：
So we must make a plan as good as that in England.
所以我们必须做一个像在英国的那个计划一样好的计划……那个that，就是plan，计划.
[4] 在一般句子中，替代前面提到的一件事，多用that
We have to change our plan，but that is not very often.
我们不得不改变我们的计划，但是那不是很经常的……“那”，就是that.
[4]在其它句型中
Ok! We prepare this type of bikes instead of that we used in Canada
好啦，我们准备了这种型号的自行车而不是我们在加拿大用的那种型号……that 就是那种型号。
[5] 考题
短文改错1：2005年江苏高考题改写 I am moving to the countryside because the air there is much fresher than it in the city.
这里，it 改为that。It，意思是“它”。that 意思是“那人物事”，在此意思是the air那空气；乡村的空气要比城里的那些空气[that]好。
短文改错2 1992年全国高考题改写 Mr. Zhang gave the books to the pupils except them who had already taken them.
them改为those，意思是那些学生……那些已经拿了书的学生。
those who现在已经是一个习惯短语，大家记住。
We offer help to those who need it
我们提供帮助给那些需要帮助的人。
语法填空1 2003年上海春季高考试题改写：Equipped with modern facilities, today's libraries differ greatly from___ of the past. (2003上海.春)
此处填 those，those替代那些图书馆libraries，是复数，所以不用that。意思是：由于装备了新的设备，今天的这些图书馆跟以往的那些图书馆有很大的不同。
语法填空：The problem that they are facing now is not so difficult as ____ which we met with in 1998.
填that，意思是那个问题 the problem
现在我们正在面临的问题并不像我们1998年遇到的那个问题要难。
