Urumqi Diwopu Airport resumes cargo charter flight service to Baku, Azerbaijan

At 13:12 on September 23, the Urumqi route freighter charter flight operated by Azerbaijan Silk Road Airlines officially resumed its service with an IL-76 all-cargo aircraft with a permitted cargo load of 45 tons. The cargo carried by the first charter flight was the imported car production equipment of Greely Holding Group from Hamburg, Germany back to China, which marked the first time since March 2020 that the Urumqi Diwopu airport resumed inbound cargo clearance. The return trip was loaded with Xinjiang export goods for shipment to Azerbaijan and Europe.
