文：地球大白很久很久以前，在说到“免费”的各种表达时，大白提到过一个很有趣的表达方式，就是“on the house”，那如何理解on the house是免费的意思呢？
要知道on在有些口语表达中有“pay the money”的意思，比如说“It's on me”意思是“我请客；我来付；我来承担一切；由我来付”，相当于“I'll pay for you/I'll foot the bill”。而the house在口语表达中可以指代“the management/the establishment”,比如说“the house always wins”是指庄总是赢家，所以如果某店家对你说某某东西“on the house”，是指由商家承担费用，换言之就是“免费”。

on the table

不是“好桌子”，而是指“菜不错”，因为table除了桌子外，还能是“饭菜”的意思。

2、under the table
不是 “在桌子下面”，而是指“秘密的；喝醉；烂醉如泥” 。
