由于好友反映很难找到美国英语教材《语境中的语法》这本书,讲完昨天的练习,这个教材介绍就告一段落。
一、Be句型的作用练习
昨天留下的练习是这样的:EXERCISE 2 Fill in the blanks to make true statements.
练习目的:理解Be句型的作用。
EXAMPLE: California is on the west (location位置) coast.
1. Washington, D.C., is on the east (location表位置) coast. (阅读课文内容)
2. Chicago is a city (classification表分类). Illinois is a state. (阅读课文内容)
3. Puerto Rico is an island (classification表分类) with water all around.
(课文中也有It is a territory的内容,但空格前给的是an,只能填空元音音素开头的island)
4. It is 20:00 p.m./20 o'clock (time表时间)now.
5. It is sunny (weather表天气)today.
6. The American president is about seventy-three years old (age表年龄).
7. The teacher is from Guang Dong, China (place of origin).
题目要求是make true statements,句子又是一般现在时,4-7题以今时今地真实情况内容作答。
重视初中基础知识是高考卷2014年起引入短文改错题型而面临的新情况。
二、《新概念英语》Pre-Unit Test 1 Ex.D:
(一)D. Look at this example.看示例,懂要求。
She goes to town every day. -->She went to town yesterday.
将一般现在时的句子改为一般过去时,注意谓语时态变化和时间状语变化规律。
(二)Do these in the same way. 用同样方法改写。
I. He buys a new car every year.
--> He ________ a new car last year.
2. She airs the room every day.
-->She ________ it this morning.
3. He often loses his pen.
-->He ________ his pen this morning.
4. He always listens to the news.
-->He ________ to the news yesterday.
5. She empties this basket every day.
-->She ________ it yesterday.
(三)参考答案:
- bought 2.aired 3.lost 4. listened 5. emptied
