According to the latest National Central City Index Report (2020), Zhengzhou is rated 7^thamong national cultural centers, rising by 13 places, and it is also listed as a potential "major national comprehensive center".

Not only that, Zhengzhou has been awarded the title of National Civilized City again. The National Central City Index Report (2020), which was the second release since 2018, was officially released in Zhengzhou on November 8^th. The research team collected data from ten indicators such as politics and finance to get a comprehensive index, namely national comprehensive center index, to reflect the comprehensive strength of a national central city. A total of 25 cities were sampled.

11月8日，“2020年国家中心城市指数报告”在郑州正式发布，该报告是继2018年后的第二次发布。此次课题组对25个样本城市的指标数据进行了测度，由政治、金融等十大专项功能的专项指数合成得到的综合指数即国家综合中心指数，反映国家中心城市的综合功能。

Among indicators used to evaluate the cultural richness, those cannot reflect differences among cities such as "whether a famous historical and cultural city" and "number of national cultural institutions" are deleted. New indicators include "time of establishment", "number of dynasties building capitals here in the history" and so on. According to the research team, such adjustments were made mainly due to the fact that ancient Chinese capitals are generally cultural centers that can reflect all the cultural characteristics of a certain period. Based on the new indicator system, Xi'an rose by 6 places and Zhengzhou rose by 13 places in the ranking of major national cultural centers.

在国家文化中心聚集度评价指标体系中减少了样本城市中没有体现出明显差异的“是不是历史文化名城”“国家级文化单位数量”等指标，增加了“建成时间”“历史上曾为几个朝代的都城”等指标。研究组解释，作出这一调整，主要是因为中国古代的都城一般都是全国的文化中心，全国某一时期文化的特征、盛衰，均可在都城文化这面镜子上得到聚集式的反映。国家文化中心的排名在分项指标体系调整后，西安上升6名、郑州上升13名，跻身国家重要文化中心城市。

Apart from obtaining the title of "a major national cultural center", Zhengzhou ranked 12^thin the list of national comprehensive centers in 2018 and 2020, surpassing Qingdao, Changsha, Jinan, Xiamen, Dalian and other cities with remarkable comprehensive strength. Zhengzhou is now a potentially major national comprehensive center.

除了跻身“国家重要文化中心城市”，郑州在2018年和2020年两次国家综合中心城市的评价中均位列样本城市第12名，已经超越了青岛、长沙、济南、厦门、大连等综合实力相对较强的城市，处在国家潜在重要综合中心的行列。
