Lesson 18 He often does this!
1、 标题中的‘he’ 指店主的狗。英语中，通常狗用‘he’，猫用‘she‘来表示。
2、 have 的几种用法：
（1）用于时态的构成
例句：Have you had lunch yet? (现在完成时)
After he had finished work he went home. (过去完成时)
（2）表示某人有某物
例句：He has a new house.
(3) 用于固定词组搭配
例句：I had a good time at the party. (玩得开心)
3、 动词give 的几个固定搭配用法：
（1）give……back 还，退回
例句：He returned with my bag and gave it back to me.
（2）give in 交给
例句：Give in your exercise books to me.
（3）give in 投降
例句：He can’t continue fighting. He will soon give in.
（4）give away 送给
例句：I give away my collection of stamps to the little boy.
（5）give up 放弃，戒掉
例句：I have given up smoking.
（6）give up 放弃，投降
例句：Three of our officers gave themselves up to the enemy.
4、beside 和besides的区别：
beside 介词，旁边，在……的边上
例句：Come and sit beside me.
besides 介词，除……之外，还
例句：Besides this photograph, I have a number of others.
5、按要求回答问题，组成不超过40个单词的段落。
The writer had lunch at a village pub. She could not find her dog after her meal. She could not pay the bill. The landlord of the pub found it for her soon. His dog had taken it into the garden.
6、根据课文内容及知识点，试着自己写个小作文。
This text described that the writer could not pay the bill after she had had lunch at a village pub. Because she could not find her bag. Later the landlord gave her bag back and explained that his dog had taken it into the garden and he often dose this.
I don’t know if pets were allowed to get in shopping malls or restaurants abroad. And I don’t know if there are differences between city and countryside about this rule.
In our country, it is not allowed to bring any pets into public buildings, like restaurants, shopping malls, cinemas, banks, etc. I am in favour of this rule because I am scared of pets like dogs or cats.
Some people don’t like pets not for lacking of love. Just for they are scared of animals instinctively. And some people are allergic to animals.
But there are still a few people bring their pets to restaurants or shopping malls due to poor management. They put their dogs on the bulk food in supermarkets or let their dogs to use tableware in restaurants, which is disapproved and should be criticized.
