NURSE: Good morning, Mr. Croft.
MR. CROFT: Good morning, nurse. I want to see the dentist, please.
NURSE: Do you have an appointment?
MR. CROFT: No, I don't.
NURSE: Is it urgent?
MR. CROFT: Yes, it is. It's very urgent. I feel awful. I have a terrible toothache.
NURSE: Can you come at 10 a.m.on Monday, April 24th?
MR. CROFT: I must see the dentist now, nurse.
NURSE: The dentist is very busy at the moment. Can you come at 2 p.m.?
MR. CROFT: That's very late. Can the dentist see me now?
NURSE: I'm afraid that he can't, Mr. Croft. Can't you wait till this afternoon?
MR. CROFT: I can wait, but my toothache can't!

注意两处Good中的d都会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意want中的t会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意dentist中的第二个t会发生爆破音的消失现象。

注意have an appointment前后两两可以连读。
注意appointment中的第一个t会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意Is it urgent前后两两可以连读。
注意如果读得快的话，“Yes, it is”前后两两可以连读；读得慢的话，只是it is前后连读即可。
注意feel awful前后可以连读。
注意have a前后可以连读。

NURSE: Can you come at 10 a.m.on Monday, April 24th?
MR. CROFT: I must see the dentist now, nurse.
注意如果读得快的话，come at前后可以连读。
注意at中的t会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意must中的t会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意dentist中的第二个t会发生爆破音的消失现象。

NURSE: The dentist is very busy at the moment. Can you come at 2 p.m.?
MR. CROFT: That's very late. Can the dentist see me now?
注意dentist is前后可以连读。
注意前后两处at中的t都会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意如果读得快的话，come at前后可以连读。
注意dentist see中dentist中第二个t会发生爆破音的消失现象。

注意I'm afraid前后可以连读。
注意afraid中的d会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意that中的t可以作爆破音的消失的处理，也可以与后面的he作击穿连读处理，即that中的t和he中的-e直接连读。
注意he can't中的t会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意Can't you前后会发生音变（同化）现象，即Can't中的t与you中的y一起读作[tʃ]。
注意wait中的t会发生爆破音的消失现象。
注意this afternoon前后可以连读。
