英语和汉语在很多方面都是有区别的，今天就说说动词的区别吧，英语中需要区分延续性动词和非延续性动词，但是汉语中是没有区别的，那么，英语中延续性动词和非延续性动词有哪些区别呢？
第一、意义上的区别。
延续性动词顾名思义就是能够表达一个的动作，如work. study. live. play. sleep等等。而非延续性动词就是不能持续，瞬间就结束了，如die. buy. go. come.join等等。
第二、用法上的区别。
延续性动词在句中被使用时可以与一段时间连用，既for 一段时间或since 宾语或从句，如
We have lived here for ten years.
我们在这住了十年了。（live是延续性动词，所以用了for 一段时间）
We have known each other since we moved here.自从我们搬到这我们就认识了。（know是延续性动词，所以句子中用了since引导的从句作时间状语）。
然而一个非延续性动词不能和一段时间连用，如，We have come here for two hours.我们到这两个小时了。（这个句子就是错误的，come是非延续性动词，不能与一段时间连用），那么这时把句子改正过来就要用上延续性动词来代替那个非延续性动词了，这句中就得用be来代替come.所以改成
We have been here for two hours.
英语中那些非延续性动词都有可以替换的延续性动词，如buy-have
borrow-keep
die-be dead
come-be
open-be open
close-be closed
get up- be up
begin/start-be on
become-be
finish-be over
catch/get a cold-have a cold
go to school-be in/at school
put on -wear
join-be a member of
如，我不可以说
He has borrowed the book for a week.
但是可以说
He has kept the book for a week.
