初中生学习英语，朗读和背诵句子非常重要。特别是七年级的学生的语感还没有培养好，老师会重点加强学生句子的朗读和背诵。在初中有很多作文需要以课本中的句子为基础来完成。可以说，学生背诵英语关系到学生英语学习的成败。但是，很多初中生对于背诵英语句子感到非常困难，甚至对背诵英语课文感到畏惧。这主要是因为他们不知道背诵英语句子需要什么条件，也不知道用什么方法来背诵英语句子。
英语句子要想能够背诵下来，必须做到以下条件：单词会读，这是背诵英语句子或课文的重点条件。很多学生单词读得不熟，课文就更读得不熟了，背诵就更无从谈起。在单词朗读上，学生要尽量把单词读得准确。这关系到学生今后的听力等方面。此外，学生要能够理解课文句子的意思，特别是句子中的短句和句型要能够理解。做到这一点学生就能够加快背诵的速度。如果学生在课文句子背诵后需要默写，对于学生单词的要求就会更高一些。那么学生就需要会默写单词，最好就是学生能够根据汉语意思写出英语单词。这也是学生平时单词听写的基本要求。
学生背诵英语课文可以采取“关键词”背诵英语课文。我们以九年级Unit1 (3a,Section A) 为例进行讲解。
Last year, I did not like my English class. Every class was like a bad dream. The teacher spoke so quickly that I did not understand her most of the time. I was afraid to ask questions because of my poor pronunciation. I just hid behind my textbook and never said anything.
Then one day I watched an English movie called Toy Story. I fell in love with this exciting and funny movie! So I began to watch other English movies，too. Although I could not understand everything the characters said, their body language and the expressions on their faces helped me to get the meaning. I also realized I could get the meaning by listening to just the key words. My pronunciation improved as well by listening to the conversations in English movies. I discovered that listening to something interesting is the secret to language learning. I also learned useful sentences like “It’s a piece of cake” or “It serves you right.” I did not understand these sentences at first. But because I wanted to understand the story, I looked them up in a dictionary.
Now I really enjoy my English class. I want to learn new words and more grammar so that I can have a better understanding of English movies.
在学生熟悉本篇课文，知道课文句子意思，学生就可以逐段背诵。背诵的关键词如下：
第一段关键词： not like—— a bad dream—— so ....that——most——afraid——poor—— hid——never
第二段关键词：an English movie——love—— movie—— other English movies—— everything——expressions——get the meaning—— realized—— meaning——key words——improved—— the conversations————discovered—— secret to language learning—— useful sentences——understand——in a dictionary

1.学生首先把单词读熟，然后了解本篇文章的意思。
2.读熟句子。可以一段一段的读熟，也可以全部读熟。
3.背诵句子一般以一段为单位。学生可以看着关键词背诵。
4.为了防止遗忘，特别是后面的句子会背诵了，前面的句子又忘记了。学生可以采用循环背诵的方法去背诵某一段。如：先背诵第一句和第二句，然后背诵第三四句，接着复习背诵第一句至第四句。
如果学生背诵能力非常好，每次背诵的句子数量可以增加。学生循环背诵句子直到一段课文结尾。第一段会背诵后，再背诵第二段，然后再背诵一二段，如此循环，直至背诵完所有段落。如果背诵后需要默写，学生也可以先看着关键词默写。待背诵非常熟练后，不看关键词进行默写。
5.背诵课文的注意点：
（1）学生必须是单词读熟后才能够读熟课文，否则读课文将会非常累，有些学生甚至是死记硬背；
（2）学生如果背诵能力非常好，背诵关键词可以减少数量；
（3）课文背诵最好循环背诵，防止遗忘；
（4）在所有课文句子背诵熟练后，必须找相关题目做一做来巩固背诵效果。如果没有相关题目，可以通过默写来巩固。
（5）一些学生对背诵英语有畏惧心理，家长最好能够鼓励学生去努力背诵。此种方法坚持一段时间后，学生就能够找到英语背诵的技巧。
