小编要告诉大家的是，如果要混 twitter，要上汤不热，只看的懂LOL或者OMG（oh my god)，哪怕BTW (by the way)，ASAP (as soon as possible), 只能说然并卵，因为欧美小年轻会告诉你这是属于他们爸妈年代的语言。讲真，不懂得一些网络语言的简写，去和老外聊天，英语也和克林贡语没啥区别了。不过别着急，小编今天要给大家介绍下英语中的 acronyms(缩写）。并且教大家几个必定要会的流行简写。
Acronyms on the internet have existed for nearly as long as the internet itself. For regularly repeated phrases, this is a handy way to type less and speed up conversation. For someone in a chat room for the first time, conversation can look like scrolling alphabet soup, and for a parent, cell phone text from a child who is well-schooled in internet acronyms can be mind boggling.
网络缩写语几乎从互联网诞生之日起就有了。这是一种容易上手，输入简短又能使对话交流更快速的方式。不过对于那些第一次进入聊天室的人，那些对话就如同滚动的字母大杂烩，而对于家长来说，如果有幸看到他们被互联网浸染颇深的孩子的电话简讯，估计也会被雷到。

An acronym is an abbreviation that consists of the first letter of each word in a phrase, title, or name
字母缩写是一种提取短语，标题，长名中每个单词首字母(来代替表示原文）的缩写形式。
2.Why to use?
For regularly repeated phrases, using acronym is a handy way to type less and speed up conversation
对于一些常用重复率又很高的短句。用缩写更容易打字而且使对话更快速

Useful Internet Acronyms
常用的互联网缩写
EOM
原句：end of message
意思：消息（对话）结束，通常人么发这个表示的当前交谈终止不回了，或者不用回了。
例句：“We’re leaving, EOM.”
WYSIWYG
原句：what you see is what you get
意思： 所见即所得。表示看到的东西都是事实，无虚构伪装（跟淘宝上说的原物实拍差不多意思）
例句：“I’m not dressing up, WYSIWYG.”
AFC or AFK
原句：away from computer or away from keyboard
意思：不在电脑前 | 没有键盘 总之就是无法打字
例句：“Sorry I didn’t reply right away, I was AFK while I made a sandwich.”
AGKWE
原句：and God knows what else
意思：天晓得还有啥事儿。
例句：“After that party, we’re out of pop AGKWE.”
AIMB
原句：as I mentioned before
意思：就像我之前说的 | 我之前都有说过
例句：“AIMB, all of my chickens got loose.”
BION
原句： believe it or not
意思：信不信由你（爱信不信）
例句：“Olive oil is actually so healthy that some say you should have a spoonful a day, BION.”
CMIW
原句：correct me if I’m wrong
意思：如果我错了，请指出
例句：“CMIW, but did you just drive past us?”
IRL
原句：in real life
意思：在现实中
例句：“IRL, zombies don’t exist. Probably.”
IYKWIM
原句：if you know what I mean
意思：你懂我的
例句：“There’s nothing like a blueberry pie, IYKWIM.”
NUFF
原句：enough said
意思：泥垢了！
例句：“Don’t mess around with an angry badger. NUFF.”
BRB
原句：be right back
意思：马上回来（稍等）
例句：“Hold on! BRB”
ROFL
原句：rolling on the floor laughing
意思：笑滚在地
例句：“Have you seen recent xkcd? ROFL!
“Gamer” Acronyms
来自网络游戏的缩写
Multi-player internet games have spawned their own acronyms, some blending into “internet speak” and cell phone text messages. Here are a few and where they came from:
当今各种种类繁多的网络游戏，都有着自己的缩写。有些本来只在玩家中流行的用法，甚至延伸到了手机短信，下面这些例子就是。
OMW
原句：on my way
Gamers able to type back and forth to each other often arrange to meet up in a certain location, and this is easier/quicker to type, especially if a buddy needs some help.
玩家经常需要迅速来回切换地点（游戏中），这样打字无疑更快速，尤其是需要协同作战的时候。
BRT
原句：be right there.
A little less common, but basically the same as OMW.
不是最最最流行，因为它的意思更OMW很相似
GTG
原句：got to go
Either the player is leaving the group he is playing with or he is “logging out” (turning off the game). This is handy as it can be used on cell phones, such as “I’ve GTG to the store after work”, or “Nice chatting, but I’ve GTG”.
当玩家要离开当前团队或者结束游戏的时候，会用到这句。现在这句话在手机消息上也经常使用。比如“我下班后要去店里”、“聊的好开心，不过我要走了。”
