Inspired by Farnsworth House in Mies van der Rohe, Philip Johnson's glass house is considered one of the most outstanding works in modern architecture with its perfect proportion and simple style. Johnson built a 47 acre estate for himself in New Canaan, Connecticut. This house is the first of 14 buildings built by architects in 50 years on this land.
