(1) Trail（乡间或林中的）小路
具象名词，指非人工铺设的小路。
We hiked the 5-mile trail.
我们去“5英里”山路爬山了。
(2) Path 路；小径
作抽象名词时指路，相当于way，作具象名词时指人工铺设的小路。
There was a large dog standing in his path, so he couldn't get by.
一只大狗站在那儿挡住了他的路，所以他过不去。
Follow that path to the front of the building.
沿着这条小路走到楼前。
(3) Route 路线
通常作抽象名词；指highway-高速公路时作具象名词，如：Route 66-66号公路。
She took the most direct route to the bakery.
她选了最直接的路线去面包店。
