今天就让我们一起来学习用动词和动词短语表原因吧！
动词表因果关系，大家首先想到的是cause。
cause做动词时，表“造成，导致”的意思，尤其指造成不好的事情发生。
cause 做动词表因果关系时，一般有三种用法：
1. The difficult driving conditions caused several accidents.（cause sth）
2. The bright light caused her to blink.（cause sb/sth to do）
3. I hope the children haven't caused you too much trouble. (cause sb sth)
result in, lead to, bring about
三者都表示“引起，导致”的意思。
Your positive thoughts and words result in positive actions.
New ways of thinking lead to opportunity and growth.
Changes in habitat may bring about the reduction in some species.
在使用这三个短语的时候，要注意一点：
它们后面通常跟名词或名词短语。
contribute to也是比较常见的表示因果关系的短语。
它的本意是“对……作贡献”，
表示不好的方面时相当于“造成，导致”。
There are 6 main factors that contribute to depression.
表示好的方面相当于“有助于”。
The increased taxes and the television advertising both contribute to the reduction of smoking.
