We last see Saurfang in a Stormwind prison cell, refusing to escape with Talanji and Zul. In the Battle for Azeroth pre-patch, he oversaw the assault on Night Elf territory but had a change of heart at the end, believing Sylvanas to have gone too far in burning the tree.
