BACK TO THE GOLDEN AGE

想象搭上时光机回到仅有两条地铁线的北京，每个人骑着自行车上下班。没有wifi，没有微信... 然而，有群精心打扮的年轻人偷偷聚朋友家里，用一块红布把台灯罩住，听着张蔷和唐娜桑默。头戴发带、蛤蟆镜，身穿喇叭裤、连裤装的小年轻们跟着大录音机里的节拍扭着腰，放飞自我、舞动身体。他们深受来自港台金曲，欧美流行乐影响，开始追随爆炸头，闪光灯，紧身裤，甚至跳舞的动作。他们正在面对一个从未谋面并且超出想象的全新世界！
Imagine you enter a time machine and are transported to a city where there are only 2 subway lines, everyone is riding bicycles, no wifi, no wechat. There are little groups of youngsters secretly gathering in homes across the city, covering lamps with pieces of red cloth and enjoying the sounds of Zhang Qiang and Donna Summer while wearing Rayban sunglasses, bellbottom jumpsuits and headbands as they rotate their hips and wave their bodies FREEly to the beats of a boombox. They are inspired by the sights and sounds from Hong Kong, Taiwan and New York... big hair, flashy lights, slick clothes, rhytminc dance routines. They are experiencing a new world that had not been seen before in China.
在那一代人是纯真的，他们有着在日复一日的平凡生活中，努力寻找机会释放自己的激情。艺术、音乐和电影，许多新的想法在这一时期迸发。所有事情都是新的，令人大开眼界。人们对新鲜事物的渴望也达到了前所未有的高度。他们没有我们今天这些唾手可得的信息，但他们尽其所能的从他们有的资源中汲取养分。磁带换着听，把自己喜欢的歌录成一盘磁带，交换卡带、自录录影带。在当时迪斯科音乐作为一种宣泄情绪的出口，深刻影响了中国八十年代的年轻人，使他们成为最酷最时髦的弄潮儿。
This generation was innocent and had a passion to free themsleves from the boredom of everyday life. New ideas, art, music and movies were first being introduced... and everything was new for a people hungry to have their eyes opened wide. They may not have had all the resources we posess today, but they did much with the little they had, exchanging casttes, creating mixtapes and bootlegging videos. Disco music was the outlet for their emotions. It is a mind blowing period that molded China's coolest and hippest youth generation.

On June 17, TGISinvite you to enter atRAMOand be inspired by this unique period of time. Because let's face it: our parents were cooler than we are. They were more passionate, more edgy, more risky... and they looked cooler too! We need to rekindle in this generation what made that generation great.

以及最终的 迪 斯 科 舞 会 把你带回那个巅峰时代。有 算法艺术实验室 准备的交互蹦迪装置，还有 DJ 混搭播放北京舞厅里当年最流行的金曲，布基伍基节奏摇滚集体舞、趣味游戏（林波舞你能跳多低？）让大家尽情释放自我！
当日还有 RAMO 为本次活动特别准备的 迪斯科特调与迪斯科特餐，下午徜徉满满的迪斯科风情之后，来大吃一顿配着电影，为晚上的蹦迪做好准备吧！
Afterall, we will lead you up to the definitive disco party night featuring AlgorithmArt Lab 's interactive installation and DJs bringing back the old Beijing disco beats and remixes of 70-90s disco songs, boogie-woggie group dances, games (how low can you limbo?).
Before the party, RAMO will also present special drinks and meal fulfilled with disco spirits for you. Once you have enterd RAMO with TGIS, the good old times will be back and you will be as cool as your parents.

「TGIS 周日有限」是一个由食物引发的组织，把周日有限的时间变为无限可能。由一群热爱生活与美食的艺术家、建筑师以及音乐工作者创立于北京胡同。从谈论一杯masala tea到每周日一起到胡同里的院子做料理、分享食谱和工作点滴的聚会。人如其食，我们发现食物是创造交流、联络人与人之间最好的媒介。不仅是周日早午餐，「TGIS 周日有限」也投入开发与举办各式具有启发性、创造力的活动，连结不同的群体与社区，一起探索每个独一无二的周日！
「TGIS 周日有限」is an organization born out of food, transforming the limited time given each Sunday into boundless possibilities. We are creators coming from various fields that gather in the kitchen to combine seasonal foods into a unique brunch experience under a given theme. Humans though do not live by bread alone, but also through knowledge shared in camaraderie. So the brunches have been expanded beyond their original concept to encompass exhibition, talks and events that form the backbone of a new local creative community... with a taste of Sunday.
