或the West journey。
英语中不少名词要求固定的介词与之搭配，形成特有的伙伴关系，journey即是其中之一。
该词要求其前总是用on进行搭配，表示“进行旅行，在旅行中”。
例如:
They 're on a journey to European countries.他们正在欧洲游。
journey之后的介词配置较为繁杂，常见的有:
1)当与具体地点搭配时，journey之后常用to， from或between:
the journey from greenhouse to supermarket shelf
从大棚到超市货架的行程(to表达“目的地";from表达“来源地”)
the journey between the two towns
两座城镇间的行程(between表达“两地之间”)
2)表达时间、路程(距离)、特点及性质时，常搭配of:

3)表达“穿行；贯穿”时，则视情况用through或across:
